There are many people in the world who do not have access to the Internet due to underdeveloped Internet infrastructure. In addition, during disasters such as earthquakes, network infrastructures are damaged, resulting in network unavailability. In recent years, low earth orbit (LEO) satellites, which orbit at an altitude of 2,000 km or less, have been attracting attention as an effective way to solve these problems. LEO satellite networks are actually in service, such as Starlink. However, since LEO satellites are constantly moving at high speed, there are many problems that need to be solved in order to maintain stable communication quality.
Therefore, we have been conducting research on control technology to ensure the stable use of the LEO satellite network with high quality from 2024.
